App Privacy Policy
For Superior Tactics for iOS and Android · Effective September 29, 2026
This policy covers the Superior Tactics game published by Tiny Machines Workshop L. L. C. ("we," "us"). Our websites are covered by a separate privacy statement, and our Ballistics Insight apps by their own policy.
The short version: the game has no accounts, no advertising, no ad identifiers, no third-party analytics SDKs, and no third-party crash-reporting SDKs. It does not ask for your location, contacts, photos, or microphone. Three things leave your device: whatever you choose to send us with the Feedback button, anonymous gameplay analytics, and crash reports from Apple’s own diagnostic service — which screens you open, how missions go, which credit pack you bought, and how long the app was open. The analytics go to a server we run ourselves, are not linked to you, and can be switched off in Options.
1. Information We Collect
Your game stays on your device
Your progress, fleets, settings, and purchases are stored on your device. We hold no copy of your save and there is no account to sign in to.
What the Feedback button sends
If you open Feedback, write a message, and tap Send, we receive:
- your message — the text you typed, exactly as you wrote it, and the category you chose (bug, suggestion, or other);
- an installation identifier — described below;
- the app version — for example "2.3.0 (12)";
- your operating system version — for example "iOS 27.2";
- your device model — for example "iPhone17,1";
- your language and region setting — for example "en_US".
The last four exist so that a report is actionable: a bug that only happens on one model, one OS version, or in one language is otherwise very hard to find. We do not receive your name, your email address, or your Apple or Google account.
Please bear in mind that we receive the message as you write it. If you type personal information into it, we will have it.
Gameplay analytics
Unless you switch it off, the game sends us a summary of how it is being played. We built this because we cannot otherwise tell which missions are too hard, where people stop playing, or which credit pack is worth keeping in the store. It contains:
- which screens you open — by name, for example "MainMenu" or "IAPMenu";
- missions — which mission started, whether it was won, lost, or abandoned, and how long it took;
- what you unlock and buy with in-game currency — module unlocks and upgrades, and perks;
- which credit pack you bought — the pack's name, for example "combo10". Not a price, not a receipt, not a transaction number, and nothing about how you paid;
- how long the app was in the foreground — time spent with the game actually on screen, not time it sat in the background;
- the same installation identifier, app version, OS version, device model, and language described below and above.
It does not contain your name, your email address, your Apple or Google account, your location, your IP address as part of the record, or anything you typed. We are measuring the game, not you.
Switching it off. Options → "Share gameplay analytics". Turning it off stops collection immediately and discards anything the game had queued but not yet sent, so it is not sent later. If you turn it off before you ever play, no installation identifier is created for you at all.
Crash and freeze reports
Unless you switch analytics off, the game also reports crashes and freezes. These come from MetricKit, a diagnostic service Apple builds into iOS — we do not add a crash-reporting library of our own. iOS collects them on your device over the course of a day and hands them to the game the next time you open it. Nothing is sent while a crash is happening, and a game you never open again never reports at all.
A report contains:
- where the code was when it failed — a stack trace: the sequence of functions the game was running. It describes our program, not you;
- why it stopped — for example the exception or signal, or how long a freeze lasted;
- the state of the app and device at the time — Apple includes details such as the app build, operating system version, device model, region format, and whether Low Power Mode was on;
- the same installation identifier described below.
It contains nothing you typed, nothing from your saved game, and no account, contact, or location information. We use it to find crashes and freezes we cannot reproduce ourselves — the ones that only happen on a device or in a situation we do not have.
Switching it off. The same switch as gameplay analytics: Options → “Share gameplay analytics”. With it off the game does not subscribe to the service at all, so nothing is gathered for us in the first place.
The installation identifier
The first time the game needs one, it generates a random identifier and keeps it on your device. It is not your device's identifier, not an advertising identifier, and not tied to any account. It is not shared with anyone and it is not used to recognise you anywhere else.
It does two things: it stops one device flooding us with submissions, and it lets us tell that three reports — or three play sessions — came from the same player rather than three different people. Feedback and gameplay analytics use the same one, so a report you send can be read alongside the sessions it came from. Deleting and reinstalling the game creates a new one. Because it is stored with the game's saved data, it can be carried to a new device by a device backup restore.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment card, billing address, or account details. The game receives only a confirmation from the platform that a purchase completed.
Technical information
When the game sends feedback, the request reaches our servers on Amazon Web Services carrying ordinary technical information, including an IP address. We do not store the IP address alongside your feedback and we do not use it to identify you; our infrastructure may record it briefly in operational logs for security and troubleshooting.
2. What We Do Not Collect
- No accounts, sign-in, email addresses, or names.
- No advertising identifiers (IDFA, AAID), and no advertising of any kind.
- No third-party analytics, attribution, or behavioural tracking SDKs. The gameplay analytics described above go to a server we run ourselves and are shared with nobody.
- No third-party crash-reporting or session-replay SDKs. The crash and freeze reports described above come from Apple’s own MetricKit service and go to the same server we run ourselves.
- No location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, health, or financial data.
- No payment details. We never learn what you paid or how you paid it — only which pack you chose.
- No recording of what you type, beyond a feedback message you deliberately send.
We do not track you across apps or websites, and the game presents no tracking permission prompt because it has nothing to ask for.
3. How We Use It
We use what you send to read your feedback, reproduce and fix bugs, decide what to build next, and reply if you ask us something and give us a way to answer. We use the gameplay analytics to see which missions are too hard or too easy, where players stop, and which credit packs are worth offering. That is all. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone, we do not use any of it for advertising, we do not profile you, and we do not publish it or show it to other players.
4. Service Providers
Feedback and gameplay analytics are received by small services we run ourselves on Amazon Web Services and stored in databases we operate. Neither is sent to any analytics, advertising, or customer-support product. AWS processes them on our behalf as infrastructure. We disclose information otherwise only when required by law, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or the security of the service.
5. Retention
We keep feedback for as long as it is useful for supporting and improving the game, and delete it when it is not. You may ask us to delete a submission you sent; because submissions are not tied to an account, it helps if you tell us roughly when you sent it and what it said.
Gameplay analytics are deleted automatically after 180 days. Crash and freeze reports are deleted on the same schedule.
6. Your Choices and Rights
Sending feedback is entirely optional, and gameplay analytics can be switched off in Options → "Share gameplay analytics" — one switch, which also turns off the crash and freeze reports. With analytics off and no feedback sent, the game transmits nothing at all and is fully playable that way.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including rights of access, correction, deletion, and portability. We honour these requests regardless of residency. Contact us at the address below.
7. Security
Feedback and gameplay analytics are sent over an encrypted connection and stored on infrastructure we control, reachable only by us. The service that receives analytics can add records but cannot read them back. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes
We may update this policy as the game develops. The current version is always posted here with its effective date. Material changes will be noted in release notes.
